Moonraker is the production of Apollo King and Luna. The result was so nice the first go around that it was readily repeated with Moonraker as the result. He is nice! Moonraker has a good sized frame, correct in its proportions, beautiful head (more handsome even than big brother Apollo), and flat topline. Add to that his LONG staple length and bright white, fine, dense fleece, and he is about all one can ask for. He has beautiful, uniform crimp style throughout his blanket and is covered with this fleece from front to back, head to toe. Check out his 15.9 micron fleece stats with SD of 3.2, CV of 20.2 and comfort factor at 100%. His dam, Luna, who is in our foundation herd for her extreme fineness, is one of the finest Tuscan Gold crias born. And she has produced! Her next cria after Moonraker was a female we named Moonstruck, and she boasts an 11-month histogram with AFD 12.1, SD 2.8 and comfort factor 100%. Moonstruck was sold at the 2015 Amber Autumn Invitational Auction.

Moonraker has grown into a very macho soon-to-be 3-year-old. He won his class at the 2015 TxOLAN show and went on to become the white male Champion. Woo hoo! Although he walked in a couple of his juvie classes, confidence was not lost in this young male, and he has been rewarded. His mom, Luna, has one blue ribbon to her name, but she is a major star on our ranch. Just goes to show how you can't let the show ring totally drive breeding and purchase decisions in this business.

Moonraker is very fine fleeced at 15.9 micron as a 9 month old with SD 3.2, CV 20.2%, CF 100%. His fleece is dense and bright with high organization. He was somewhat of a slow grower, but when he matured he did so nicely. In his later shows he moved into the upper ribbons, winning blue at the 2014 Fall Festival show and becoming the 2015 white male champion at TxOLAN; all of this after taking the gate twice as a juvie.
